Our
History
Creston School was constructed in 1948 on an 8.6 acre
campus adjacent to Creston Park in SE Portland. Creston
is a one story wood frame building that houses an exciting, K-8
program and three classrooms from the Columbia Regional Deaf
and Hard of Hearing Program.
The original structure was built
in 1907 adjacent to the swimming pool on Powell Blvd. An
unfortunate fire destroyed the original school in December of
1944. Nearly 400 students followed the Creston Junior
Safety Patrol out of the building and all escaped without
harm.
Creston Annex houses classrooms for the PPS Headstart
Program which serves four-year-old students in a half-day
program. Creston is home of the Eagles and we are proud
to share our program with you!
OUR
